Sniper Settings 2026

Fortnite Sniper
Aim Assist Settings

Aim assist barely works at sniper range — but there are settings that make controller sniping significantly more consistent.

The truth about aim assist and snipers

Aim assist does not work at sniper range in any meaningful way. The aim assist bubble around a target is a fixed pixel radius — at 200+ metres, the enemy takes up only a few pixels on screen, so the bubble is too small to activate reliably. Fortnite's rotational assist and friction zones simply don't engage at this distance.

What does work at sniper range is lower ADS sensitivity (finer control), lower deadzone (no dead zone = maximum stick precision), and ZenDaddy's ADS Damp feature which slows your look speed when scoped — giving you a mechanical advantage even without active aim assist.

Best sniper settings for controller

ADS Sensitivity3–5Much lower than normal — tiny adjustments at distance
Look Sensitivity6–7Keep this normal for close-range escape fights
Left Stick Deadzone5%As low as possible — maximum precision
Right Stick Deadzone5%Match in ZenDaddy P3 DZR setting
Aim Assist TypeDefault or ExponentialMakes no real difference at sniper range
ZenDaddy — PatternOFF or Speed 4Lower pattern speed at sniper range avoids over-correction
ZenDaddy — ADS Damp70High damp = maximum slow-down when scoped in

ZenDaddy hair trigger for snipers

ZenDaddy sets the R2 trigger threshold to 2 (out of 255) by default — this means your sniper fires the instant you barely touch the trigger. No more missed shots from slow trigger pull. This applies to all weapons including snipers.
