Full Settings Guide 2026

Fortnite Controller
Sensitivity Settings

Every controller sensitivity setting explained — look, ADS, build, deadzone — with recommended values for 2026.

Look Sensitivity (1–10)

Recommended: 6–7

How fast you turn when moving the right stick. 6 is the standard starting point for most players. Go to 7 if you find yourself losing close-range 1v1s because you can't turn fast enough. Never go above 8 — you'll lose the ability to make small precise adjustments.

ZENDADDY NOTE

ZenDaddy note: Look sensitivity affects how much your aim moves per pattern cycle. If you change look sens significantly (above 8 or below 5), re-tune your DYN pattern size accordingly.

ADS Sensitivity (1–10)

Recommended: 5–6

How fast you aim when holding L2/LT. Should always be equal to or slightly lower than your look sensitivity. ADS is when aim assist is strongest — lower sensitivity gives you more control during the friction/pull window.

ZENDADDY NOTE

ZenDaddy note: ADS Damp on P2 applies on top of your ADS sensitivity. Start with ADS sens 6 and ADS Damp 50, then adjust damp rather than the in-game setting.

Build Mode Sensitivity Multiplier

Recommended: 1.5–2.0×

Multiplies your look sensitivity when in build mode. You need to turn fast in build mode to out-build opponents. 1.5× for beginners, 2.0× once you're comfortable. This does not affect aim assist since build mode detection in ZenDaddy disables the pattern during builds.

ZENDADDY NOTE

ZenDaddy note: ZenDaddy auto-detects build mode and disables aim assist while building. Your sensitivity multiplier works independently.

Left/Right Stick Deadzone

Recommended: 5–8%

The percentage of stick travel that registers no input — to prevent drift from stick wear. Set as low as possible without experiencing stick drift. Use the controller calibration tool in Fortnite to find your minimum stable value.

ZENDADDY NOTE

ZenDaddy note: Match P3 DZN (left stick) and DZR (right stick) values to your Fortnite deadzone. Default is DZN: 13, DZR: 8. If you lower your in-game deadzone, lower the ZenDaddy values proportionally.
