What changed in Chapter 7

Chapter 7 Season 2 introduced updated movement mechanics and changes to aim assist timing windows. The rotational aim assist is still strong on Default mode, but the snap speed was reduced slightly compared to Chapter 6. ADS Pulse in ZenDaddy was recalibrated in the v3.1.2 update to compensate — the pulse timing was confirmed optimal for the current season.

Why settings alone aren't enough

Fortnite's aim assist is triggered by left-stick movement — if your thumb is still on the stick, assist turns off immediately. This is intentional: Epic wants aim assist to feel like a helper, not a lock-on. The problem is that in real fights, most controller players hold still while tracking — which kills their own aim assist.

ZenDaddy's DYN pattern solves this by keeping the left stick moving in a human-like micro-loop at all times (L Always On mode). Aim assist never turns off. Combined with ADS Pulse, you get multiple aim assist activations per second — in sync with your fire rate.
